Biography
Rachell is an associate at Pechman Law Group whose practice centers on wage-theft litigation, with a particular focus on unpaid overtime cases and low wage workers. She is dedicated to helping workers who have been denied the pay they rightfully earned. In addition to wage-and-hour matters, Rachell also represents clients in employment discrimination cases including claims involving sexual harassment. On the defense side, Rachell assists clients with developing best practices to comply with the complex employment regulations in New York City and drafts employment policies and employee handbooks.
Rachell has advocated for workers in over thirty individual lawsuits and collective actions in federal courts throughout New York, and before federal agencies.
Rachell is a summa cum laude graduate of John Jay College of the City University of New York, where she earned her B.A. in English. She received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2023. While at Cardozo, she served as a Staff Editor for the Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights and Social Justice (Volume 29) and interned with the Kathryn O. Greenberg Immigration Justice Clinic and Catholic Charities Immigration Services. Rachell is fluent in Spanish.
